The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter) is proud to announce that its senior marketing executive Andrew Goldberg has been named Nonprofit Marketer of the Year by the prestigious American Marketing Association. The Nonprofit Marketer of the Year Award honors extraordinary leadership and achievement in the field of nonprofit marketing across the United States. Currently the Arsht Center’s VP, Marketing, Goldberg has led the Center’s marketing department since 2007. During his tenure, the Arsht Center’s marketing team has surpassed all sales goals, established strategic subscription campaigns, led successful efforts in online marketing, and earned numerous creative awards. Under Andrew’s leadership, the marketing team has launched creative communityfocused programs, including UTIX ($20 tickets for college students), (a free job site for creative professionals) and ArtsLaunch, a free annual all-day cultural celebration. As Miami’s biggest event celebrating the arts, ArtsLaunch has grown to attract thousands each year and includes 100 cultural organizations, performances, tours, interactive workshops and live bands. Prior to joining the Arsht Center, Goldberg worked at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Florida Grand Opera and the Ravinia Festival. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Set in the heart of downtown Miami and designed by world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli, the Arsht Center is one of the world’s leading performing arts organizations and venues. Since opening in 2006, the Arsht Center, a 501C3 non-profit organization, has emerged as a leader in presenting innovative programming that mirrors South Florida’s diversity as well as a catalyst for billions of dollars in new development in the downtown area. Spotlighting legends and serving as a launch pad for local artists to make their mark on the international stage, the Center presents nearly 400 events each year across its flexible, state-of-the-art performance spaces. The Center programs several Signature Series, including the largest jazz series in South Florida, Flamenco Festival Miami (one of the largest annual celebrations of its kind in the nation), and a robust program of new theatrical works as well as free programming for the community and an arts education program that serves nearly 60,000 children each year.
