Othello
Hate. Desire. Jealousy...Love.
William Shakespeare's powerful tragedy tells us of a love that defies the boundaries of race, and of a hate that defies the boundaries of reason. Othello, a Moorish general in the employ of a European power, defies the conventions of his culture to marry a European woman and to rise through the ranks to become a respected and powerful soldier. But his misplaced trust in his ensign, Iago, leads him to discard it all as Iago manipulates and twists the soul of a noble man. Dealing with such varied themes as race, class, jealousy, and trust, Othello is a study in the self-doubt and fear that resides in the hearts of us all.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies: An IMAX® 3D Experience
From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson comes “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” the third in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien. “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town.
Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.

Pre-Event Registration:
There are different ways you could participate in this event. Here are three options to choose from:
-Start a Team: When you open a team, you are considered the team captain. After the team is officially registered, you can begin recruiting members to join your team and start raising funds with the help of your team mates.
-Join an Existing Team: This option is available for those that are interested in joining a team that has already been created by a team captain. Check in with the team captain of the team you want to join and have them provide you with the exact name of the team.
-Join as an Individual: This option gives you the opportunity to participate as an individual without being affiliated to any team. This will mean that you will be raising funds without the help of teammates. Under this option, you can also choose to be a “virtual participant” if you are unable to attend the actual event.
Everyone interested in participating in this event must register online through the website. If you have specific registration needs that are not addressed in our registration process, please write to:walkabout@danmarinofoundation.org

Key West Wine & Food Festival
Tickets are now on sale for the 2015 Key West Food & Wine Festival.
The sixth annual Festival takes place January 27 through February 1, providing five fun-filled days of culinary delights and funky events you would only expect to experience in Key West.
The Festival’s signature events are back.
The Kick Off Your Party starts the fun by getting everyone in an island frame of mind.
This year’s Grand Tasting is being hosted by The Marker Waterfront Hotel and is sure to delight with a more refined selection of wines and food by Cero Bodega.
And ‘Duval Uncorked’ DECONSTRUCTED once again leads guests along the quirky and famous Duval Street for strolling and tasting extravaganza.
Also returning are the popular neighborhood strolls, one-of-a-kind informative seminars, and the outdoor artisan wine market.
“Our past five years have been a hit and we can’t wait until our 2015 festival” says Event Director Mark Certonio. Food and wine enthusiasts from across the country will join locals to enjoy Key West’s freshest seafood, unique local ingredients, gorgeous weather, and premium wines from around the world.
