September 2018 - Editors Letter

  September is a month I've always considered to be the epitome of seasonal transition.  The end of summer welcoming autumn with her mixed blessings.  Here in South Florida young families are enjoying the strife that modern life brings via sending the kids to school again.  Football fans; myself included are excited to start with a tabula rasa and high hopes of possibly making it to the playoffs or even a Super Bowl.  The business world is gearing up for holiday / seasonal sales and according to Jim Kramer of Mad Money Tiffany & Company is now a good investment based on the fact that it was recently downgraded. Don't take MY word for it!

It goes without saying that September will always be remembered by a tragedy that happened on the 11th in NYC and elsewhere back in 2001.  Seventeen years later we plan to interview some of the survivors who now reside in South Florida. 

For the snowbirds still up in the Hamptons, the Wisconsin Dells and the Borscht Belt we hope you're enjoying the beautiful fall foliage and encourage you to report back to us and share photos of the leaves and their colors: marigold, scarlet, rosewood, magenta, walnut, hazelwood, fire and any other bright fall colors you can conjure up and collect with your cell phone's camera.  As one from northern Minnesota, it will take a lot to impress me because we had some of the best fall foliage around!  

This month we are launching referrals.org and also a real estate FOR SALE page on the digital version of South Florida. Member Real Estate Brokers who have homes listed with their firm will be able to publish a home and we will also enable geographical SEO in efforts of promoting the property to other members and potential home buyers.  We are in the R&D phase of a similar offering for related luxury genres including yachts, fine art, jewelry and vintage cars.
